What is mPAY? |
| Mobile Banking Application (FSS mPAY) is a service that facilitates you to do banking transactions through your mobile phone. mPAY services can be initiated in SMS, GPRS or WAP mode through your mobile. |
How does FSS mPAY work? |
FSS mPAY works on the 'Text Messaging transmission' also called the SMS. It can be mPAY Application menu selection or customer entering SMS Tag based transactions.
After registering the respective mobile number with FSS mPAY, the subscriber can initiate transactions using registered mobile by enabling GPRS and accessing FSS Mpay website or through sending SMS. SMS message travels from your mobile phone to SMS Center of the Mobile Operator. Mobile Operator passes the transaction to the Mobile Service Provider. Service provider routes the transaction to the Mobile Banking services. Here, the transaction is processed and the result is sent to your mobile phone via the same route.
GPRS transactions from your mobile pass through Internet Gateway to Mobile Banking Services directly.
SMS Tag based transactions are clear text messages that use transaction set code and other necessary details. Subscriber, simply, has to enter the respective Transaction Code along with other required details and send a defined number to mobile banking services as a normal SMS from his/her mobile, just like other SMS messages. |
